During one of our trips to Bandipur national park, we had been on the evening safari, which turned out to be awfully quiet, with absolutely no sightings. However, it was a beautiful evening and we did not let disappointment, of not sighting wildlife, dampen our spirits. As we started our way back to the jungle lodge, we suddenly saw a group of 5 Asiatic Elephants in a clearing. We were happy that we got an opportunity to photograph this group of Elephants, as they were not just adults but also a calf amidst them. Little did we realize that this small group of 5 Elephants would grow into a herd of 16-17 elephants and pose for a family picture! The series of images depict the scene as it unfolded.
