What amazed us was that this male had thrown caution to the winds and was posing for us and showcasing his brilliant breeding colors. The entire display lasted for about 10 mins and we managed to get some good shots of this reptile. All images were taken with the D300 300mm f2.8 lens mounted with the 2x converter.
The Peninsular Rock Agama commonly known as the South Indian Rock Agama is a species of Agama found around rocky hills of South India. While we are not much of reptile people, we didn’t want to let go of the photo opportunity that presented itself when this Rock Agama paid us a visit while we were waiting to photograph Vultures in the hills of Ramanagara, Karnataka.
