This evening in Coorg Wilderness Resort, we were treated to a magical spectacle. The Malabar Whistling Thrush that was nesting on the ledge of the neighbouring Suite decided to put on a show for us. As the evening approached and the sunlight started fading, this Malabar Whistling Thrush flew by and perched on a branch right in front of our Suite. I quickly took a few pictures only to be astonished when it started calling for its partner. The calling is a long whistling call that travels a long distance. The Malabar Whistling Thrush just stayed on that perch and kept calling for almost 15 minutes, giving us some amazing photo opportunities. Here’s a short collection of pictures from that magical sighting.
