The Tickell’s Flycatcher is a widespread resident of India. We have sighted them many a times and found them quite inquisitive. You can often find them keenly observing you from a distance of about 30 feet.

And this is exactly what happened to us at Tusker Trails, Bandipur national park. The thick wooded area behind the resort is home to one such Tickell’s Blue Flycatcher. We first saw it as a juvenile and then later as as an adult, all within a period of 4 months. Here are a few pictures from those sightings.
