The Jerdon’s Bushlark is a small bird of about 14 cms in size. Larks have always interested us because we find their singing flight display quite spectacular. Though the Jerdon’s Bushlark singing display is not as spectacular as the Indian Bushlark, it is still an experience to observe and photograph this small beauty singing its heart out.
While driving down from BR Hills during one of our trips there, we spotted this Jerdon’s Bushlark perched on a Ant hill. We managed to get within 10 feet of this beauty using the car as a hide and were able to get some frame filling compositions.
All images were taken with the D300, 300 mmf2.8 lens mounted with the 2x TC and using the car window for support.
