The Streak-throated Woodpecker is a wide spread resident of the Indian Wilderness. In our opinion, they are the most photographer friendly Woodpecker. We have seen these Woodpeckers not just in the forests of Peninsular India but also in tea and coffee plantations along the Western Ghats.They are medium-sized with a streaked throat and scaly whitish under parts.
