The Crested Hawk Eagle is one of the widespread raptors found in the Indian wilderness. We have been quite fortunate to photograph this bird of prey while it was in the middle of a hunt.
During one of our safaris into the Nagarhole national park, we noticed this juvenile Crested Hawk Eagle perched high on one of the branches of a dead tree. We decided to take a couple of photographs. Just then we saw a forest crow appear out of nowhere and start harassing this Crested Hawk Eagle. The Eagle was so engrossed with the distraction that it gave us the opportunity to do a complete portfolio of this magnificent raptor.
