On this game drive in Maasai Mara National Park, we saw a few Giraffes in the distance, headed in the direction of the road. Emanuel, our guide and driver, pointed out that they might cross the road somewhere ahead and we could wait for them, just in case. We willing obliged and waited. And true to Emanuel’s prediction two of the Giraffes headed our way and one of them came right next to the road and paused.

And like how pedestrians look both ways and cross the road, so did he. But when we realised that we were not going to rush him, he just walked in the middle of the road, keeping a watch on us.

Soon another Giraffe joined the first one, in the middle of the road. And we hoped for them to get together, criss-cross necks and look around at us. Thank our lucky stars because that is exactly what happened.
