In the earlier post, when we described the sighting of the Tigress with a cub in Kanha National Park, we mentioned the Barasingha, whose distress calls led us to the Tiger. We decided to dedicate a full post to that incredible experience of observing a Barasingha in distress. The alarm calls of the Barasingha are unique to the point of being weird. It sounds like a wailing human infant. It was exciting to watch this lone Barasingha’s call echoing through the Kanha wilderness. He kept calling till the Tigress and her cub were completely out of his sight. Here are a few pictures of this incredible wildlife experience.
