The sighting of the pair of Malabar Grey Hornbills, captured in the previous post was our best sighting of this species. We thought that there would be nothing to beat that sighting, but to our surprise our patience to continue photographing well into the evening paid off rich dividends. The lighting got better as the sun went behind the hills. This helped in the lighting getting better. At the same time the courting pair of Malabar Grey Hornbills literally took turns to pose for us at the nesting site. And the final icing on the cake was when they took a break from the nesting activity to cement their relationship with a mating sequence that we managed to capture for the first time on camera.
