We were on an afternoon game drive in Kabini backwaters when we got news that a Tiger has been spotted near the power lines area. We got to the location, as quickly as possible, and there she was walking towards us. We quickly reversed and turned the vehicle around so that we kept a safe distance ahead of her. This way we could photograph her walking towards us.

She walked nonchalantly, without any inhibition and scent marked along the way. Soon she was right next to us, when we captured her long strides in a nice composition, below.

When we thought she was going to walk past us, she veered away from the road and settled down, as though taking a break – giving us a great opportunity to photograph her. At one point it looked like she might hit the snooze button for a bit and then she did something that caught us by surprise, read more about it in the next post on Kabini.
