The Lioness that we spotted carrying her new born cubs in Serengeti National Park, finally emerged from the tall grass and walked upto our jeep with her other cub in tow. As he came out of the tall grass, we took our first clear picture of the new born cub.

She put the cub that she was carrying, gently down on the grass and then carefully lifted the second cub and proceeded to cross the road. However the other cub, was not too happy and wanted to be carried. So the Lioness put the other cub down too. Both the cubs were scrabbling in the grass, giving the mother a hard time.

She finally crossed the road in front of our vehicle with her mewling second cub unwilling following in her footsteps. We thanked our lucky stars for the spectacular sighting that we had just witnessed.
