The huge swamps of the Amboseli National Park attract many species of birds and we saw numerous birds and photographed a handful of them. The most beautiful of all the birds we photographed was the Malachite Kingfisher, no wonder it made it as the feature picture even though it was just a record shot. I also made a mental note of the Blacksmith Plover, record shot below.

The 3-Toed Plover was another bird with unique blood red eyes and eyebrows. The Egyptian Goose was another  large subject.

The juvenile White-bellied Sea Eagle was another find on the first game drive in Amboseli. Not to mention the many African Elephants with calves.
