We were visiting Serengeti National Park after a gap of almost ten years and we were excited! We reached Serena Serengeti lodge late in the afternoon and soon headed on a short evening game drive. The late afternoon looked pretty and our driver mentioned to us about the possibility of a good sunset, later in the evening.

We took a couple of pictures of the skyline before we headed off in search of wildlife. This Black-backed Jackal was either foraging or headed back to its den when we spotted it. The curious fellow stopped in his tracks, giving us an opportunity for some record pictures.

As he headed off, we turned around to get back to the lodge. The sun was setting fast and we stopped in a clearing in the savannah to savour in this gorgeous Sunset. Our driver promised us more exciting game in the next day’s morning game drive. We also knew from our past experience that, Serengeti never disappoints.
