In the earlier post on the Hemis national park, we had posted the cloudy, snowy landscape that we encountered for most part of our Snow Leopard trek.
The vast expanse of sheer nothingness is quite humbling. And your sense of gratitude goes up a couple of notches when you see how the local people live in the challenging conditions of the Ladakh region.
However, Ladakh does have a different cool blue refreshing side to it that one gets to see for most parts of the summer and occasionally in winters. Unlike in summer, the clear blue skies in winters come with their share of extremely cold nights as well. But the bright sun and blue skies does give an opportunity to get some amazing landscape photography.
