After photographing the Rose-ringed Parakeet in the Kaziranga National Park, we moved ahead only to be met by a flock of Red-breasted Parakeets sun-bathing in the late morning sunlight. I noticed one of them sitting on a beautiful perch with no branches for distractions and took a couple of pictures. The moody bird gave me a bored glance and then made a posture that looked as if it was hiding its face from the camera. I decided to leave the bored bird alone and focussed on another energetic individual.
This Red-breasted Parakeet was much friendlier. Once it noticed me taking pictures, it moved over and picked up a twig of fresh leaves. It then posed with the twig of leaves for a couple of pictures and that made my day.
