After the amazing sighting of the African Lioness in Serengeti National Park, we ventured deeper and stopped when we saw a queue of safari vehicles. On getting closer we realised all the excitement was thanks to a Leopard who was perched on a treetop.

The Leopard was up on a low branch of the Acacia tree, with its leaves providing a nice shade to it. Every now and then it would lift its head up to look around before going back to its afternoon slumber. All the tourists in the many vehicles waited patiently, while the Leopard kept changing positions and going back to its siesta.

Soon it got up, threw a long yawn and everyone got excited thinking it was going to climb off the tree and maybe go for a kill or just gracefully climb down so that we all could get a good look at it. Unfortunately it turned out to be a false alarm, since it just turned the direction it was facing and went back to sleep.
