We were on a late afternoon drive in the Kabini Tiger Reserve. Unfortunately for us, for most part of the drive, we didn’t have much luck with sightings. Then we came to a popular waterhole called Tiger tank that is known for its famous Tiger sightings. As we came close to the waterhole, we spotted these two Wild Dogs resting near the water’s edge.

As we watched the Wild Dog pair, they walked upto the waterhole and starting drinking. It was interesting to see how at any point in time, one of them kept watch while the other let down its guard to quench its thirst.

We got these final pictures before they darted past our jeep. The other jeep that headed to the waterhole, was just a a shade late, as the Wild Dogs disappeared into the Kabini wilderness.
