After checking in at the Stanmore garden estate in Valparai, I stepped onto the balcony of the two level wooden Chalet and the sweeping views of the tea estate blew by mind away. After soaking in the luxurious views, I made a mental note to wake up early and try to catch the sunrise. The next morning I woke up just before the sunrise and took this image (below) of the lazy mist hovering over the surrounding tea estate. As the Sun rose behind the distant mountains, I froze the first rays of the light breaking through the shadows of the expanse of the tea estates. It was gorgeous enough to be made the feature image (above picture) of this post.

The sunlight also exposed the numerous trees, lining the undulating terrain. The trees were slowly sprouting from the misty cover and it made a spectacular view. The ever changing views as the sun rose kept me spellbound and in awe of this beautiful place called Valparai.

I loved the way, the tea estate and treeline made striking silhouette compositions. The stunning light and shadows show was something to be witnessed in person. As the light got brighter, I took the same composition of the tea factory at the top of the mountain (the same as the 2nd image) again. This time the mist had almost cleared making way for the amazing view of the lush green tea estate.
